Revenge at Michael’s

The flashing neon “cocktails” sign should have tipped us off.  The homeless man who helped us fit our car in a narrow space was yet another indication of what the night had in store.  Michael’s Pub in North Hollywood is a bar’s bar.  Cheap beers, grumpy old men, pool, etc.  By the time the Quixotes took the stage (basically a small doorless closet at the end of the bar) an anxiousness had seized crowd.  After yet another hard week in a harsh time the people needed an outlet and we, the Quixotes gave them that.  Despite a few microphone glitches, and a few too many shots of whiskey the set was smashing.   Don’t fret if you missed it as the Quixotes will be playing another gig their in October.  This hole in the wall spot is actually one of the few places you can still see a good night of original bands for the price of FREE.

As for the Quixotes we head into the studio this weekend in hopes of pounding out  five song EP to get up for sale for ya’ll…

stay in touch, keep drinking, and never, ever, find yourself on the wrong side of cool.
